Wise Words

Uncontrolled, the hunger and thirst after God may become an obstacle, cutting off the soul from what it desires. If a man would travel far along the mystic road, he must learn to desire God intensely but in stillness, passively and yet with all his heart and mind and strength.
-- Aldous Huxley

Another question for you; why do you think man has a soul? This "yearning" as Huxley calls it (which many claim is the human soul, could it not be "The Knowing" as described by many including Spong, that we misinterpret as a soul or yearning for god?

GAWD & HORUS!
Your questions are too good rantandroar!
Who do you think I am? Billy Graham-Wafer?
Honestly though, in all seriousness, you ask really good stuff. It sends me to thinking, to the drawing board [and this is a good place to be]... and to reminding myself that I can only provide better & better questions, not better & better answers!
